They detail the methodologies used for collecting and analyzing data, ensuring that the information is based on reliable sources and accurately reflects the security landscape. By emphasizing accountability, these reports hold organizations responsible for their security measures and outcomes. Additionally, the precision in data presentation allows stakeholders to make informed decisions regarding risk management and resource allocation. Finally, upholding integrity in security reporting fosters trust among clients, employees, and regulatory bodies, reinforcing the commitment to safeguarding sensitive information and maintaining operational security.

Law of arrest
Security officers play an important role in maintaining safety and order, but it is critical to understand that they are not law enforcement officers and do not possess the same arrest powers as police. The authority of a security officer is limited and must always be exercised within the boundaries of the law to avoid civil or criminal liability.

Fire Watch
The video also explains the correct actions to take if a fire is discovered, including alerting occupants, activating emergency procedures, notifying fire services, and communicating clearly with supervisors and responding authorities. Students will learn what actions are appropriate for a security officer and what actions must be left to trained emergency responders.

Firearm Safety
The video introduces basic firearm safety rules, including safe handling practices, muzzle awareness, trigger discipline, and the importance of treating every firearm as if it is loaded. Students will learn how improper handling, poor judgment, or lack of awareness can lead to serious injury or loss of life.

First Aid
The video explains what first aid actions a Class D officer may perform, such as controlling bleeding, providing basic care for injuries, and offering assistance until trained medical responders arrive. It also clearly outlines what officers must not do, including providing medical treatment beyond their training, administering medication, or diagnosing medical conditions.

Self-Defense
The video provides an overview of the use-of-force continuum, explaining how security officers must always start with the least amount of force possible and escalate only when required to protect life or prevent serious harm. Students will learn the legal boundaries governing defensive actions in Florida, including the difference between defensive force and excessive or unlawful force, and the serious consequences of exceeding their authority

Traffic control
The video explains the limitations of a Class D officer’s authority, including the fact that officers cannot issue citations, conduct traffic stops on public roadways, or engage in pursuits. Students will learn the importance of staying within assigned areas, following site-specific instructions, and immediately requesting law enforcement assistance when a traffic incident, collision, or non-compliant driver situation occurs.

Final Test
The final test reviews critical topics such as the role of the security officer, legal authority and limitations, report writing, emergency response, fire watch responsibilities, self-defense principles, first aid, traffic control, and professional conduct. Students must demonstrate their ability to apply this knowledge to real-world security scenarios, not just memorize information. Upon successful completion of the final examination, students will be considered to have completed the required Class D training hours. A course completion certificate will be issued, allowing students to apply for their Florida Class D Security Officer License through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), in accordance with state requirements.
